Too often IAFF members see the devastation and trauma after mass shootings. Fire fighters and police often work together to handle these type of incidents and the IAFF has developed a toolkit to aid our members on established protocols and practices if faced in this frightening scenario.

Douglas County, OR Local 2285 paramedics return to their ambulances after delivering patients to Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg after a deadly shooting at Umpqua Community College. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families, and the emergency responders affected by today's tragedy.

The feelings over the days weeks and months to come are real. They are natural and a part of the process. Don't ignore them. Lean on each other and if need be seek further assistance. You will come through this ok.
