Too often IAFF members see the devastation and trauma after mass shootings. Fire fighters and police often work together to handle these type of incidents and the IAFF has developed a toolkit to aid our members on established protocols and practices if faced in this frightening scenario.

Bill Spurbeck Thats great. Now how about the IAFF helping with union members that are not getting paychecks, as an example the department you posted about yesterday. You collect dues from tens of thousands, I'm sure helping out these members would make a big difference, and would be a drop in the bucket. Comments?????

Daniel Galovic It is the time after the patients have been dropped off and you are left with your thoughts of, what the hell just happened. Look after each other brothers. The feelings over the days weeks and months to come are real. They are natural and a part of the process. Don't ignore them. Lean on each other and if need be seek further assistance. You will come through this ok.

Tommy Quinn We need all firefighters to call or however you choose to get a hold of them, to get this bill passed. There are a lot Senators and Congressmen that forgot all about us. Many will die if this is not renewed.
